Vagator Beach to Host Sunburn Goa

goa01

After keeping their fans waiting for so long, Percept has finally unveiled the new venue for the coveted Sunburn Goa. Vagator beach the northernmost beach of Bardez Taluka, Goa will host the festival, now in its seventh edition.

The announcement was made in a rather non-fussed manner at the Sunburn Arena, Mumbai today that had Avicii playing at the Mahalaxmi Turf Club. The concert ended with the screens flashing Vagator as the venue for the festival.

With Live Viacom 18′s Supersonics having bagged the Candolim beach that had been the favourite of Sunburn for six years in a row, Percept was left with no choice but to hunt for a new haunt for their fans. Getting the license for Vagator too seemed problematic with the authorities playing spoilsport citing traffic issues. However, Percept has seemingly managed to have their way this time around.

Vagator is located located on the opposite bank of the Chapora River from Morjim in Pernem. To the south of Vagator is Anjuna, one of the first hippy haunts of Goa.

Some of the artists playing at Sunburn 2013 include Afrojack, Axwell, Goldfish, Mark Storie, Jaymo & Andy George, Timo Maas, LOUD, Josh Wink, Markus Schulz, Pete Tong, James Zabiela, Andrew Rayel, etc. Indian artists include Dualist Inquiry, Big City Harmonics, DJ Jayant, Nucleya, Reggae Rajahs, Sandunes, Nanok, Lost Stories, Anish Sood, etc.

Sunburn Goa 2013 will take place from December 27 to 29, 2013
