Radio Stations: In the past, All India Radio was the only radio broadcasting outlet, which was experiencing fast waning of its popularity. Radio Banasthali is one of the most entertaining private radio stations. The India International School Institutional Network has launched the FM Radio 7, which has become very popular in Jaipur. Radio Mirchi, Gyan Vani, Radio City, My FM, Red FM and 95 FM Tadka are also operational in the ciy.
Music Stores: One can find music stores across the city, especially in market areas adjoining Hawa Mahal, Johari Bazar and Malviya Nagar. Retail outlets of Planet M, Reliance Timeout, and Crossword are located in these places. Some local stores are Anand Music Palace, Sound N Music, Aman Music Center, Chic Musical Group, Ricky’s Video, Sabrang books and music, Bharati Cassette Udyog, Music and Art, Super CD, etc. Instrument Stores: The local instrument shops have hordes of folk music instruments which one cannot otherwise find anywhere else in the country. These are must visit places, if one is a music connoisseur. Around Chandpol, the major stores are Sharma Music, Mukesh Musicals, Ganapati Tabla Store, Shri Kalyan Music, Bagavathi Musicals, Laxmi Music Center, and Music Palace among others.

Local bands and artists: Jaipur Kawa Brass Band, Rajasthan Roots, Gods Robots are some popular bands which play regularly at gigs. Individual artists such as Kutle Khan, Krishna Bhatt, Anwar Khan Manganiyar, Nathoo Lal Solanki are well known among the locals.
Organisations promoting music: Jaipur Virasat Foundation works with the folk musicians in Rajasthan and is headquartered in Jaipur. It also organises the Rajasthan International Folk Festival (RIFF) which promotes their music. Nad Sadhna works towards the preservation and archiving of the traditional music of Jaipur and also uses key methods to teach students.
