Shruti Hassan took up acting only after she made her presence felt in music arena. Now that she has established herself as an actress, Shruti is all set to launch an album soon.

Confirming this, the composer of Unnaipol Oruvan reportedly says, “I have gained confidence to work on a music album on my own. I am joining hands with some independent musicians for the purpose.”

The actor-singer-composer’s last release in Tamil is 3 with Dhanush, while her recent movie in Telugu is Pawan Kalyan starrer Gabbar Singh. The remake of Dabangg has earned her the tag of a ‘lucky actress’.

Quiz her if acting will take a backseat since she is busy with works related to music album, she is quoted as saying, “No, I will of course continue to act in movies. At the same time, I know what kind of movies should I do and I will choose my roles carefully.”
