Radio Mango makes its mark at New York Festival

Radio Mango, Kerala’s  private network has bagged two finalist certificates at the 2012 New York Festivals this year.

The categories they won in were Best Radio Personality : Local Market and Best Sound.  Raghu’s the lead jock in the two person Breakfast show Kozhikode Superfast. His fast talking, plain speaking, calling a spade a spade style have won him thousands of fans across the city. His is the perfect mix of genius and joker, with an innate ability to provide new a new perspective every time.

And as far as the second category goes, mimicry as an accepted cultural art form has existed in Kerala for 30 years. It’s played a huge part in the evolution of comedy in cinema, and radio mango decided to dedicate a week  to the art of mimicry.

A team of mimicry artists ‘mimicked’ the radio mango station jingle right down to the instrumentation as well. This is Radio Mango’s 7th award at the New York Festivals in the last three years.
