Leslie Lewis, Shaan, Mathangi, Monali, have sung and composed a new partiotic anthem Yeh Mera India for a one hour slot on Animal Planet, meant to celebrate Independence Day. The anthem is meant to cheer the spirit of freedom and

is hence multi lingual, consisting of three of the widely spoken languages, namely; Hindi, Tamil and Bangla.

Leslie Lewis was quoted as saying, ““We have so many animals and colourful flora, the highest mountains and deepest forests, even the music reflects that. The song starts on a soft note and it builds up gradually giving it an anthem-like feel.”

The slot is to be programmed for a month and will air every night at 8 pm. It will showcase the natural beauty of the country ranging from wildlife, forests, mountains, rivers, and so on.
