7 Notes to Infinity, a 60-minute documentary on Indian classical music, will be premiered here on the eve of World Music Day – June 20.
Directed by Shrenik Rao, the film explores the universality of music through the infinite compositions created from the seven musical notes – Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni.
Through interviews and songs, the film draws parallels between Indian classical music and other forms of music across the world while presenting lyrically beautiful compositions of renowned musicians.
Shot on location in Kerala, the film throws light on Maharaja Swathi Thirunal`s interest in music.
7MB (7 Media Broadcasting Pvt. Ltd) has produced the film and is said to have a limited theatrical release in select cities in India.
Apart from the theatrical release, the film is set to be screened in Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston, University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University and Cornell University.
