Adele rakes in all her Grammy nominations

Adele won big at the Grammy Awards last night, sweeping awards for all the six categories that she was nominated for, taking home six Grammy Awards.

These categories included the big three - Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Album of the Year.

She tied the record set by Beyonce, who had also won the same number of awards in the year 2010.

Adele performed for the first time after the throat surgery wowing the audience with her performance of Rolling in the Deep and received a standing ovation for the same.

Jennifer Hudson paid a tribute to Whitney Houston with Houston’s famous single I will always love you. Other performers of the night included Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Coldplay and Sir Paul McCartney.

The Foo Fighters took home five awards which included Best Rock album and Best Rock Performance.
